Backward third world hell hole? i guess thats why british couldn't get from the west coast to the east whilst the aboriginals (the ones that lived in the desert with absolutely no problems) looked on upon the white men wondering why the hell they weren't coping. So tell me, if the brits were so damned advanced, how come many died trying to cross whilst the aboriginals were able to live there.

Hopefully though there will not be another vote on becoming an independent republic for a long time if at all. As far as I am concerned, the issue has been SETTLED with the '99 referendum when the republican model was SOUNDLY DEFEATED much to the loony lefts dismay.

Not every one wanted the republican model smart one, that's why it failed.
