Now The Founding Fathers were all Deists, not Christians. They believed in "a higher power", but were skeptics about Christianity. The same is true of Jefferson and Madison. I've seen those records at Monticello (Jefferson's home), and Montpelier (Madison's home). And there are records in Boston regarding John Adams and John Q. Adams, also. They may have worshipped on a timely basis, but they were all Deists. They also thought it was important to keep religion separate from government. Why would their ancestors, have left The British Isles?
