Have we arrived at a bipartisan conclusion that Thompson is lazy? It seems that the left and independents realized this a few months ago. Is there conservative agreement on this?

If there is, I'm just wondering what exactly did he NOT do that caused him to most likely lose this race? Did he just sit at home and watch Law & Order instead of going out campaigning? Why is it that in a Republican field where people are looking for a conservative who can unite the party, and Thompson was the only person would could do that, why did he fail under such favorable conditions to him?

He didn't actively campaign, he didn't do enough T.V. interviews, he joined the race way too late, he hasn't campaigned hard in any of the early states, and he gives off a lazy presence.

When he joined the race he was in second place if I remember correctly. All he had to do was campaign like all the others and the race was his. He decided to stay home though.

The thing I don't get is: how hard is it just to do the stuff that Mitt, Rudy, Huckabee and everyone else did? You just go somewhere and talk. Hell even I've done that (as part of my job). You contact your friends and fly around the country, raise money and talk. What is so hard about that? Why couldn't he pull that off?

Bottom line, and he admitted this in the book 'The Freshmen", he is lousy at raising money. Look how far one candidate has gone on money alone.

I don't know if this was him or just the media, but I have seen many videos of him campaigning and talking to crowds of people. The only problem is that it's not publicized at all. And since he was on FOX way before he entered, I don't know if he's tried to get on and the media refuses, or if he's just lazy. I think it's more the former, but that's just my thought.

Think about Huckabee for a minute. Up until a week before the Iowa Caucus, no one paid attention to him. Then he got some stories on some news programs and suddenly this guy who was in something like 7th place shot up to first, and not much was said about any of the Republican candidates at the time.
