Mccain in SC debate
Hi everyone
I live in SC and was not happy with Mccains comments at all.
Did anyone else notice his very questionable remarks durring the debate in regards to trading?
Another candidate was talking about trading with Arabs when Mccain Chimed in to say he doesnt want to trade with Al Qaeda all they want to trade is burkhas!
Now since there was no previous mention of trading with Al Qaeda it sounds to me like Mccain is in fact calling all Arabs members of Al Qaeda!
How could we elect this man?
Isnt this kind of talk going to hurt foreign realations?
Is this kind of talk going to help us gain any respect back around the world?
I am very greatful for his service and I bet he was a great soilder, but I cant think this would be the man for president

I watched the SC debate with much interest. The biggest thing that stood out in my mind about McCain is that his answers were 'bumbling', like he had to concoct a responce to certain questions, instead of saying what he feels.
Watch out, though. McCain is the media darling right now. I'm still hoping Giuliani picks up more steam.

McCain's national polling numbers are huge now. 30%, to Huckabees 20%, Giuilani and Romney both at 13%, and Thompson with 8%.
There's talk of a "brokered convention" in the air, but I do digress from the subject of trade and the SC convention.
I'm not a conservative, BTW usa. I'm left of center. I like McCain the most in your camp.

Mccain will be back here in SC Fri. in MT P. as a matter of fact and Im going to here what he has to say agin.
I have already attended one of his meetings in Summerville and he did not give me a chance to ask him about this.
We were told at the begining of the event that he would take questions but he didnt.

My friend, you and your state can change the tide of this race. Get out and tell everyone you know not to vote for this man. He is a RINO, opposed Bush's tax cuts, is pro-illegal immigration, voting yes on allowing illegal aliens to participate in Social Security, yes on giving Guest Workers a path to citizenship, and voted yes on visas for skilled workers. He doesn't want to enforce English as the major language.
He is unelectable:
At 71, he won't garner the votes that a younger Romney or Giuliani would get for the party. The New Hampshire and Iowa contests were animated by record turnouts. An incredible 11 percent of voters were under 24 in Iowa. (Obama won them, 3 to 1.) With young people storming the polls, a 71-year-old candidate will automatically signal our demise.

Pretty much everyone I know already knows who they are gonna vote for, and has known for while (go Rudy!) I believe the undicided votors seem to also be the least informed about the canadates, which is why they haven't decided yet.

Romney and Giuliani are both in their 60's. Do you really think a 60 something is that much more attractive to young people than a 71 year old? Every single candidate out there is an old fogey. Huckabee is the "young guy" at 52 years old.
You know which Republicans did so well with the youth vote in Iowa?
1. Huckabee 40%
2. Romney 22%
3. Paul 21%
4. McCain 7%
5. Giuliani 5%
Huckabee and Paul were the only two to gab significantly more youth vote, than general election voters. There goes your Giuliani and Romney are more popular with youth theory.

Dont know how true it is or not but I have heard that congress has been looking at passing a bill that could take away gun rights for vets due to the fact of post tramatic stress.
If this is true then I would need to ask why in the world is it ok to let Mccain be president?
That being said I still am very greatfull and recpect him greatly for his time in the service.
