Can you give any, any evidence at all, of him "throwing away vast sums of treasure and lives" and "turning many formerly friendly nations into nations that cannot help but dislike, distrust and pity us?"

Our enemies probably want Obama or Huckabee, as they're the two candidates most likely scale back the global war on terror and pull out of Iraq quickly. Failing that any Democrat would do.

In the non-Huckabee Republican field Giuliani would have the be their least favorite and to some extent McCain is less bad for them because even though he would be relentless about being on the attack he favors rights for terrorists and that would hinder inteligence gathering.

I may be remembering wrong, but I seem to recall statements from Al Queda about preferring Obama. I also seem to recall statements from Musharaff talking about what a disaster Obama would be (and this was - I think- before his comments about invading Pakistan).
