Let's see how you Hijacked it to that.

theorderoflife: I'm sure I'm going to hammered for this, but he needs the public speaking skills of Adolf Hitler.

(Referring to his relatively poor public speaking abilities)

iTaliAN_ICe : Given his large amount of support from white supremacist groups coupled with his own personal racist views, I wouldn't be surprised if Paul counted Hitler among his role models.

(Attempt to turn it into yet another Ron Paul is a racist thread, which there have been a dozen of)

So yes, I consider that threadjacking. We all know that turning it into the racist debate will totally ruin any further debate on the issues of spending, since its already been hashed out in 15 page threads, which you have participated in. Ron Paul is a racist
Paul's racism is a relevant topic on any thread about him. Even if his political positions were sensible (which they aren't), his racist views would discredit him completely (as they do.)

Ron Paul's campaign centers around many issues, and I offer than anyone bring up a specific "real" issue (please avoid issues like abortion or homosexual marraiges, as these are hardly central issues), and he has the best position. He is not insincere, and yes, he can take a hatchet to the budget. This is how it works:

Right now there are many federal programs in place to steal your money through taxes, most especially the income tax and social security, and the inflation tax, which will become increasingly apparent as the Fed prints to bail banks out of the sub-prime mess.

So, where does this money go?
It goes to fund a military that has bases all over the world (I heard 130 countries, but to be honest, I cannot confirm this), including places like Germany.

It also goes to fund a dependance on foreign oil, that despite the best of intentions, will never go away, so long as oil is available.

Most disgusting of all is the money that is just stolen from the american people by beurocracy. There is a big pile of tax money, and the the vice-president's wife has a staff that comes and takes it. Why the heck does the vice-president's wife need a staff, much less a chief of staff?

It is true that the budget can not be balanced over night, but Ron Paul is the only candidate who can initiate such staggering and indeed, neccissary changes. He cannot do it alone either.

Ron Paul in by no means the perfect candidate, but he is the best of the last century. Remember that whenever you read history, you are always reading about how government fudged something up. Ron Paul is for cutting out large parts of that pervasive influence.

I made a music video supporting him:

This racism b.s. is liable to piss someone off...what did he do to be racist? I highly doubt people truely understand his positions. Paul clearly states his opinions on race on his website, and they are severly anti-racist...besides, even if he were, his policies and beliefs are to the point that he would keep it to himself...depropogandize yourself lad.

To tell you the truth, I don't care if anyone gets "pissed off." I'm merely sharing relevant information. If anything, your anger should be directed at Paul for being a bigot.

I understand his positions well, and find them to be both flawed and unrealistic.

After the negative response to his article, I doubt he'd make his true opinions on race public again. Candidate websites are little more than propaganda machines. Paul's is no exception, I'm sure.

So you'd still support Paul if he was the Imperial Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan, as long as he kept his racism to himself...?

What propaganda have I presented? All of the information I posted was directly from Paul's own political publication.

Absolutely I would support Paul if he were an imperial wizard of the KKK if he kept it to himself, and worked to have the crimes that the kkk do stopped. I do not care what people think, so long as they keep it to themselves, and don't hurt others. Dr. Paul, nonetheless is far from racist, and I actually heard of him myself from a black man. I do not wish to go fishing through your other posts. Give me an exact example in this thread, and we will discuss it. It's good not to care if other people get pissed off, but also know what you are talking about. Tell me how his policies are unfeasable. We do not need troops in Japan or Germany. We do not need endless beurocracy supported by government theft through taxes. We do not need expanding prison systems. As it is, if you want to talk about racists, we imprison a greater precentage of black people than S. Africa did during aparthide. What we truely need is less government...much less....much much much less...and yes, to say Dr. Paul is a racist is purely something you aquired from propaganda.

LMAO... I have nothing to say to this. Your comment speaks for itself.

It's amazing how foolishly dedicated to Paul some of his supporters are.

And that somehow proves he isn't a racist? Yeah... I'm not so sure it works like that. It appears as if you and him are both tragically misinformed.

Yeah, I wouldn't want to put you through the torture of going back one page to look at my post.

For your convenience: Ron Paul and Spending

And you would know this how?

Unless you have access to my internet history or have set up surveillance equipment outside my house, you don't know where I get my information. As it so happens, I discovered that Paul is a racist by reading one of his own political publications.

I'll admit that I'm attracted to some of his ideas, and he probably would make a better president than George Bush, but some of them are just ridiculous! They'd probably pass a law requiring us to end every sentence with "Eh?"! And I HATE hockey!

Humor aside, I don't feel that it would be practical to reduce spending enough to compensate for the taxes that would be lost by abolition of the income tax (Although I like the idea of removing our troops stationed overseas and relinquishing bases in other countries).

P.S. I also am kind of freaked out by the way any candidate other than Ron Paul is attacked as being supported by the "welfare state". That is just a kind of namecalling (although I'm not sure that its really an insult). Take that, you fithy people-who-are-kind-to-puppies-and-help-little-old-ladies-across-the-street!

Hey hoser! What's wrong with hockey eh? I'm so mad I spilled maple syrup on my beaver pelt and punched a hole through the wall of my igloo! What a mess eh?

Ron Paul actually says "Cut federal spending so that the income tax can be eliminated."

Of course allowing the people to keep and spend the 20-30% currently taken out in income and FICA taxes from the people's paychecks would substantially benefit the people and the economy of the United States.
