Will things be better on 12-30-2011, on the eve of the next Presidential election or will we just be bitching about a different assortment of politicians doing the same tired crap? Seriously think about it. Besides the names, what has changed since, say, WWII. We’re mired in war. We set up Banana Republics, though we can now call them Oil Republics. We exploit the resources that the earth provides. Israel hates the Arabs and vise versa. North Korea is ready to invade South Korea. There is no Soviet Union, the Communists have been replaced by Islamofascists, but the Russians are sure as hell trying to make a comeback, and China is ready to fill the vacuum. We’ve made strides in technology though a lot of it is used more for personal convenience than helping humanity. So please just entertain the idea and see what you come up with. And please don’t tell me if so and so gets elected all our troubles will vanish and he/she will usher in a new age. Sorry if I sound like a hippie or a John Lennon song because I’m not typically this pessimistic but just Imagine.
