I've been watching several news stations' coverage of Bhutto's death. And when it comes to them talking about how her death will affect our presidential campaign, they all talk about how Bhutto's tragic death may help candidates like Clinton and Rudy, while hurting guys like Obama and Huckabee.

Hello?? Did I miss something? Joe Biden knows more about this situation than all of the candidates combined. Why does this country continue to ignore Biden's intelligence and leadership abilities?

I think that they're not mentioning Biden for just about the same reasons they wouldn't be mentioning Hunter, Kucinich, Gravel, or even Thompson. Biden is behind, and it isn't even close. RCP shows him at an average of 2.8% of likely Democratic primary voters. The media won't look at him because they don't think he'll take it, and they can cite strong evidence.

What is with this forum's obsession with Biden? I swear, you hear his name more hear then you do in the Senate, any news program, anywhere else in the campaign, or in the debates.

Yeah, he's a decent and intelligent long time Senator, a credit to his state and to the Senate. But, he's an also ran. From the day he announced until the day he finally drops out he's an also ran.

Because he trivializes himself with all his rants and outrages and he's not all that intelligent.

they aren't. he has been mentioned a few times. personally, people don't care what hillary thinks anymore about bhutto. she's so full of crock and i think almost everyone knows that. the same is true in regards to romney. she met her like 15 years ago when she wasn't even that active in politics. so her parading around acting as if they were best friends is childish.

Well, considering that the media is the main vessel for informing the public about presidential candidates (and thus has an extent of influence on who the frontrunners are), isn't it a bit circular to say that it is okay for them to ignore the non-frontrunners?
