There are people who are just die hard Libertarians. They see the Federal Government as the whole problem with everything. They think they'd be sitting pretty if the only Federal Government tax was to support a military big enough just to defend us from an invasion.

I don't completely get it. But I have little doubt it's one of those concepts like Marxism. Might look good on paper... but in reality it's a cluster %#*$.

I'm not sure that you get the idea. If Ron Paul has tons of money and runs as a third party candidate he will steal many votes from the Republicans, basically guaranteeing a Democrat victory. It's in the interest of the Democrats as much as it is in the interest of the Republicans for Nader to run. Remember, without Nader Al Gore would have won 2000, and without Paul Giuliani can handidly win 2008, at least that's what most people are saying.

I suspect these "money dumps" are being funded by Soros, in the hope that this nut job will be the GOP nominee, thus reducing Republican turnout to the 5 libertarian-contrarians who support him.
All the establishment and phony conservatives can do is spew their usual vitriol against Ron Paul. They owe more to Israel and its interests (which is the real reason they hate Paul) than to America or to the real conservative movement that Paul represents.

The vitriol of these folks is old, nobody cares anymore. The ratings for the radio blabbermouths are down. People are tired of insults and name calling.

Um, where to start. First off, Gore would not necessarily have won in 2000 without Nader in the race. For one thing, you forget that Pat Buchanan was also in the race that year and by your theory I guess would have siphoned votes from the GOP. In reality, both Nader and Buchanan had cross party appeal to certain folks tired of the same old establishment candidates and not all their support came from places you would imagine. Also, with about 2% of the vote Nader really didn't get enough to be a true factor. If Gore had been a stronger candidate 2% wouldn't have mattered. By the same token, Paul's support is heavily from folks who are turned off by the system and the mainline politicians. They are not all Republicans, and even if Republicans aren't necessarily folks who are enthused enough to vote for the party anymore anyway.

Secondly, Paul will not run a third party campaign. I will bet money on that. He is in the race to raise the flag for true conservative principles, the Constitution, the rule of law, and limited government. He is also in the race to say that we should not be the world's policeman. We should not be intervening in all these countries around the world. He is giving a voice to Republicans and conservatives who don't support our policies in the Middle East who have been ignored by the party and the mainstream media for the last several years. There are many Republican who oppose so much involvement overseas but they've been outshouted by the loudmouthed radio show hosts and others. There is a whole wing of the party that feels this way. Paul is standing up for this view in the hopes of influencing party policy and the direction the country is headed. He can best do that in the primaries rather than in the general election.

Bravo to all the grassroots Paul supporters in the USA. I was watching from up here in Canada in awe last night.

The Republicans can kiss all this grassroot support and money away if they don't choose Paul.

I saw some of the Fox and Friends spot this morning. The host asked Paul to give a one word response to words like illegal immigration, the war on terror, and a few others. He kind of rolled his eyes and gave his responses in sentences.

I have been a Ron Paul supporter from the beginning but this morning I saw his latest video where he ranted about getting rid of Roe v Wade and that he did not believe in evolution. I'm out! I will not vote! There is no one who will stand by our individual freedoms and I've been told "nobody wants freedom at this time." I was also called "an ignorant slut" by a Christian which is typical of the attitude of these ugly people. America's glory days are over!

Does Ron Paul believe in evolution? I didn’t see his hand raised in the debate when asked “who does not believe in evolution.”

Thanks for your quick reply.

Thank you,

Ron,

Ron Paul did not raise his hand during that question, it was Tancredo, Huckabee & Brownback who raised their hands. Dr. Paul is physician and believes in evolution.
I'll look into this further. I can't believe that a physician would not believe in evolution.

So your not voting because of his rant on that one position?

What does it matter about Roe V. Wade? He's for leaving it up to the states not for making it illegal. He knows if there's no legal way people will have back alley abortions and it'll do more harm than good. His way will allow legal abortions.

Why does it matter about evolution? He wants to get rid of the Department of Education. He wouldn't dream of controlling how you educate your kids.

That's the nice thing about Ron Paul, no one believes exactly the same things you do, the difference is he doesn't want to force his beliefs on you in instances where you disagree.
