Ron Paul has a 20 year career as a Congressman, so he sees what is going on in government first hand. His voting record shows exactly where he stands.

Think Ron Paul will run as an independent candidate after he loses the GOP primary? Or will he run as a Libertarian again?

I saw him speak the same day at a Gun Rights Conference in a little podunk town outside of Cincinnati. He apparently drove from Tennessee to Ohio and spoke again a few hours later. I was a bit disappointed to be real honest because I had to drive about an hour to get there and he only spoke for about 20 minutes.

It was, however, interesting to listen to him speak about his position on guns. He said that the framers of the constitution did not intend for us to use firearms for hunting purposes, but merely for protection. He got into his other usual matters, it was mostly Ron Paul supporters there (about 500), but the few strays that did not know him as well seemed a bit disgusted by his anti-war stance. I'd say about 450 of the 500 were there simply to support Dr. Paul and the organizers of the conference said it was one of the best turn outs they'd ever had. He was presented with an award for defending 2nd Amendment Rights at the end. After it ended I went around and talked to some people, met a few die hard supporters, talked to a group of vets who wanted to know more about his positions. All in all, it was a cool experience.

Ron Paul supporters aren't even thinking about that anymore. His fund raising is all coming from individuals....the consensus opinion is that the polls have to be inaccurate - and lets be honest, there aren't any juggernauts in the GOP race.
