You're the first "PRO Lawyer" person I've met. Congrats.

There was a little girl who was sucked down to the bottom of a swimming pool that began to drain unexpectedly. When her body reached the drain the suction was so powerful that it pulled her intestines out of her body. She survived, but will need extensive medical care for the rest of her life. This happened because the manufacturer failed to install a $2.00 part in the drain of these swimming pools that would have prevented this. The lawyer prosecuting the case in court proved beyond a reasonable doubt that this company was aware of the problem. That lawyer was John Edwards. Because of him, this little girl and her family have enough money to take care of her considerable medical expenses for the rest of her life.

You fail to acknowledge that these 'trial lawyers' don't get to decide who pays and who doesn't and how much. That's up to a jury. If you have a problem with the tort system you should take it up with the people deciding the cases.

Common people need lawyers like John Edwards to go to bat for them when these kinds of things happen. You may be anti-lawyer, but keep in mind, many of the politicians on your side of politics are lawyers too.

So, as a "Liberal," you don't see anything wrong with this... Edwards Home County's Largest

Good then. Then please refrain from comments about the "rich people" this, the "rich people" that...

Your justification of trial lawyers in the U.S. is quite comical. I assume you're a big fan of OJ's dream team, huh? Never met someone pro-lawyer, or someone defending the actions of these theives. Good on ya!! You get a cookie for being the first pro-lawyer person I've ever run into!!

You really sound sour-grapes Ringo, as a conservative don't you believe in people making money? As far as lawyers go. Every person in this country is entitled to seek legal representation, and every lawyer has a mandate to provide their client with the most vigorous defense/prosecution as possible.
I guess you are going to tell me you have never had need for a lawyer in your life.

So when he says that he didn't go to Iraq for oil, that's not bullshit?
