So did anyone see the GOP debates tonight?

So....did you?

I didn't need to see it, I was there. Oh, and before anyone asks there were tons of Ron Paul supporters in the crowd, actually they were most of the crowd, and there were even black people supporting him.

Since there were only 6 candidates there, they were actually able to ask everyone the same questions without favoring anyone in particular.

Didn't see it: Instead I had to wrestle my leaky dishwasher in an inch of water, the dishwasher won (that bitch!) and I fell on my ass wearing boxers and a tank top.
That's when my meddling neighbor showed up unannounced to inform me that my car was parked on the street and not in my driveway and inquire as to why that was.
And there I was soaked in soapy water (that stung like a motherfucker btw) holding a towel that oddly resembled those dribbly drunken grins some people give when they're nervous and looking like I was ready to tear the idiot neighbor a new asshole with my fingernails. (eewww. Sorry for the visual, man)

If on top of all that I had to watch and listen to republicans explaining why they're the best choice to lead the country, I honestly think I would have pounded the TV to bite size pieces and I'd still be chewing on the buttons.

I missed it, but can you tell us basically how it went down? Who had what to say? If we catch a taped version of it, can we see you in the crowd?

I doubt you'll see me in the crowd or any other Ron Paul supporter or college student because we were all herded up to the second level balcony.

i only saw like 20 mins, was it huckabee that i saw talking about drug policy and refer to an oz of marijuana as a lid? Also Alan Keyes had a very interesting speech style, though it seemed he could never make it to the end

I'll give credit where it's due, Huckabee made some pretty good points throughout the debate, and even though his drug stance is different than mine, at least we can agree that more people need to go rehab.

Also some girl sitting next to me said that Keyes had a nerdy voice.

Nerdy? Yes.

Intelligent (which is what matters)? Yes

Oh, and no one was an asshole and tried to make anyone look like a fool, except those select 4 who decided not to come. Tavis Smiley and the mods were perfectly unbiased and polite. Not like FOX

I thought it was run extremely well. It's kind of disappointing that the front runners didn't show up, but as was said the second tier candidates were able to speak more. I started laughing when Brownback said, "I'm from Topeka, Kansas - that's where Brown V. Board of Education was decided so I'm for integration of schools."

I also just started to notice how much friendlier the Democrats are on stage. The Republicans will address each other indirectly to give complements occasionally, but the Democrats will directly give complements or even joke around at times. The atmosphere is totally different.
