I'd say that Hillary is a major flip-flopper. I hold Romney in the lowest regard of all of them. At least Rudy claims to be a Goldwater conservative (which is compatible with social liberalism in some situations). Romney is full of shit and is just a clown candidate. He ran to the left of Ted Kennedy on some issues and now he's trying to run to the right of Atilla the Hun. Maybe I'll start calling him shit Romney.

But one must factor in 'what we were told then vs. what we know now.' Hillary is not my first choice for the nomination, she's not even my second,
but to her credit she came the closest she has ever come to admitting her vote was a mistake yesterday on Meet The Press.

lol, do I need to point out more of Hillary's flops? She has so many its too hard to count. One day she is conservative, the next she is liberal.
hence, why she can't be trusted.
these threads of yours (3 now) are all the same and should be compacted into one.
these threads will never hurt the might of rudy giuliani.
everyone knows the leadership skills he has. hillary has none. as first lady, she did nothing. her health care plan was rubbish and she couldn't even please her husband. go figure.

I've read that none of the Senate Democrats who voted for the war even bothered to read the National Intelligence Estimates on Iraq. Was it really a matter of "what we were told then vs what we know now"? Or was it more: if you don't vote for the Iraq war, you will be called a traitor or soft on terrorism by your constituents and thrown out of office?

I would say that all the Repubs are screwed in the general election. Romney and Giuliani are compromised by their own liberal stands on the issue. I think Gingrich is still pondering a run. He's going across the country, basically pulling a John Edwards talking about conservative issues across the country. Maybe he's getting setup for a 2012 run.
dude did aptly reveal that Thompson provided legal services to the defense team of two Libyan terrorists. Any Democrat can just beat him over the head with that all day. It's looking bad for Reps.

Might of Giuliani huh?
Superdude, in an earlier thread you said that gun ownership is a constitutional right we have and is for our protection. Assault weapons would also happen to fit into the realm of guns.
But you're behind Giuliani here, even though he seems to be an enemy of gun use through supporting an assault weapons ban i.e. enemy of a constitutional right.

ALL politicians flipflop all over the place and say whatever they need to at any given moment in order to get elected.
You might be able to see what direction they're headed into, but you seldom find out exactly what they stand for until AFTER they're elected.
So Hillary, Giuliani... big deal. Anyone but Bush will do, at this point.
(ok, I'll vote for Hillary before I vote for Giuliani, but you get my point)
