if he worked for a law firm, then i would expect him to give legal advice, its not like he represented the terrorists, he advised the guy who was advising the terrorist's lawyer, and from the article it sounds more like a diplomatic advisory then a support one

i shouldn't be responding to you. but that is the same thing. telling someone how to do something is the same thing as being their lawyer.

and the logic behind that is? he advised the guy, who was advising the terrorist's lawyer, not advising the guy who was advising the terrorists. it sounds to me like he was helping a colleague out
if there was some evidence of money going to a terrorist organization, or even a letter or email of support, then i might think he supports terrorism. not that that would matter to me, imo actors make terrible politicians, though if fred won and he gave a speech it would entertaining if as he appeared on screen you here "Du dun dun du dun du dunnnnn"(my attempt at law&order theme"

I tend to agree with dude on the fundamentals: Thompson did provide legal services for terrorists.

Now however people want to phrase that is up to them, but essentially Thompson knowingly provided legal services to the legal defense of terrorists.

Well one can do both, doing one's job to support terrorism.

I wouldn't say he "supports terrorism." I would say that he has little integrity and provided legal counsel on behalf of terrorists.
