Edwards Will Force You to Go to the Doctor

Quote:
Democratic presidential hopeful John Edwards said on Sunday that his universal health care proposal would require that Americans go to the doctor for preventive care.

"It requires that everybody be covered. It requires that everybody get preventive care," he told a crowd sitting in lawn chairs in front of the Cedar County Courthouse. "If you are going to be in the system, you can't choose not to go to the doctor for 20 years. You have to go in and be checked and make sure that you are OK."

He noted, for example, that women would be required to have regular mammograms in an effort to find and treat "the first trace of problem." Edwards and his wife, Elizabeth, announced earlier this year that her breast cancer had returned and spread.

So instead of a phone call from the doctor's office, John Edwards is going to subpoena me for my colonoscopy? Hmmm, interesting thought, haha.

Yeah, that evil guy trying to keep people in good health. That fascist son of a bitch. Damn the Salvation Army, doctors, the Red Cross, all those evil bastards.

On a serious note, I would love to see Edwards get the Presidential nomination. Edwards/Obama Everything Hillary's got, without the baggage and without electing someone as divisive as Hillary.

That's a weak retort. Does the Salvation Army and Red Cross tell you when you have to see the doctor? This man thinks he is going to require everyone to see the doctor when he, the government, sees fit to tell us when to see them. You don't find the government telling you when you have to go to the doctor and get a checkup an act of fascism? I will decide when I am going to go to the doctor, thank you. It will be a cold day in Hell when some Washington bureaucrat tells me when I have to go.

If you read what was said it said preventive care. Now if someone else is going to pick up the tab I see no problem with that. As long I can pick the Dr I am comfy with.

We shouldn't be forced to go to the doctor. Instead, it is a right as being a citizen of the United States. Too much government control IMO
