Ted Sorensen endorses Barack Obama
On Charlie Rose's interview program, early this AM in my area, Ted Sorenson gave his thoughts on the most important qualification of a presidential candidate.
It is not, the former JFK adviser said, experience - the quality boasted by Hillary Clinton. It is judgment that counts. Cheney and Rumsfeld had plenty of experience, Sorensen pointed out.
Sen Clinton showed her poor judgment, negligence or betrayal of her oath as senator in voting for the war-powers act of 2002 (WPA). She also voted against Sen Levin's amendment to limit the war-powers by requiring UN approval.
Clinton admitted she did not read the National Intelligence Estimate that preceded the WPA. That was negligence, if true. I believe she had read it but vote for WPA, because she wanted to run for president in 2008 and was afraid to appear weak. She voted in a cowardly fashion to put her own interests above the national interest. That's betrayal of her senatorial oath.
Sen Obama was not a senator at that time, but he had publicly declared his opposition to any military action in Iraq before the 2002 WPA vote.
Just to be clear, Ted Sorensen did not call Sen Clinton a coward and a betrayer. Those are my opinions. Add to that, "liar", because she has tried to explain her vote by saying she was not in favor of war at that time. If so, she should have supported Sen Levin's amendment, but she voted against her Democratic colleague's amendment.
What Sen Obama has and Sen Clinton does not are 1) integrity; 2) good judgment; 3) courage.
Sen Obama and Rep Kucinich are the only two candidates worthy of the nomination.

Reason: Sentence "That's betrayal ...." was omitted by accident.
