Before Americans can be politicians they sign an agreement not to display intelligence or act like they're informed. Next thing that would happen if they didn't......the American cable news networks would have to cover stories about intelligent informed decisions. I might be satisfied with a 50 point jump in I.Q. from the current office holder.

Now, of course, I realize I haven't narrowed down the field AT ALL , but at least it's a start.

I hang out with a pretty eclectic group of people who are into cycling. They include self defined conservatives, liberals, religious and non-religious. Frankly, I don't find any of them boring. Several tend to slightyly left of center politically and middle-of-the-road in regard to religion. Interestingly, a couple who are stauchly religious are also strongly liberal. None of us tries to convert others. Maybe that is the best approach for everyone.
