"the idea that some people have that Obama will somehow energize young people to come out and vote is just as fool hearty as it has been every other year we've heard that. The 1960's aside, young people don't vote."

I disagree...I'm going to vote. And i know a lot of other kids that are going to vote.

Voting youth tends to cluster. Rest assured that turnout will be mostly disappointing.

I think your DEM pick is entirely possible. And I would have no problem with that.

On the Pubbie side they have several problems. I think they know Mitt won't sell well in a general across the whole country. Rudy would probably be stronger in a general across the country but he's not at all in line with his own party... Pro-Choice, Pro-Gay Rights, Pro-Gun Control.

Thompson is mostly attractive only because he's not running yet. He's an ex-politician/actor that hasn't taken his hits yet. And from his bio he's not a hard campaigner. Anyone on either side that has a prayer to win better be a super campaigner.

Hope You Are Right

I'd be a very happy Democrat to see Mitt Romney as the GOP nominee. I can only hope that the Republicans would be naive enough to nominate him. If he ends up being the one, the Democratic nominee will wipe the floor with him.

Here is why:
