Reeve: Thanks very much for making available to me Obama's clearsighted, early opposition to the war. In answer to your question about why others did not see so clearly, I believe in Hillary Clinton's and John Kerry's cases they knew was was very risky but voted for the war-powers in order to enhance their presidential candidacies in the future. That is the nature of American politics, today. There is very little real patriotism when it comes to a choice between my country and ME. ME comes first for all but a rare few !

Of course I'd hope so, but you seem to be contemplating whether Giuliani is the next prophet and are mixing up the facts. You said: I actually applaud her and Rudy for raising a daughter that is capable of making her own decisions and being open-minded towards the world. Which implies this happened because of good parenting without basis. Kids being off limits goes both ways.

Oh really? You know her? She told you that's why she did it?
Use your head for something besides a hat rack, will ya? She's a freshman at HARVARD. Unless Donna Hannover has re-married into a pile of money, I'll bet daddy is footing the bill. I wonder if daddy (or maybe one of his aides) made a 5 a.m. phone call reminding her of that fact?

That might be accurate in your own little utopia, but it isn't real. If you'd turn off Limbaugh and go work with some broken families, you'd know that.

So you don't think Rudy is up that early ever? I am guessing he is up at that time most days.

I don't watch him, but I think you should start. You need some positivity in your life, I can tell.

I think it's strange that Giuliani's own family does not support him. Not even his own kid. If you had someone in your immediate family running on the opposite party of you, would you vote for them?

Depends on which one. I wouldn't vote for my extremely liberal sister-in-law for dog-catcher, much less something important. I wouldn't vote for her almost fascist husband (my brother) either. The rest of my family pretty much has my moderate to conservative right wing view. I'd vote for them.

Rudy has gone through a lot w/ his personal life and he has admitted that he has not lived a perfect life. I don't think its right for us to base relationship status' off of the media's portrayals. Don't forget, Bush's daughters are both alcoholics according to the media

I generally vote Democratic and if my brother were running as a Republican I would vote for him. Well I'm not going to make a huge deal about the reasons why G's daughter sides with the Democrats. For me, this thread is like those stories that come up 10 minutes before "Tucker" or "Scarborough Country" ends.
