Who to Vote for?
In this comming election in '08 it will be my first election that I can vote in. But with my views, I find that I may not be able to vote for anyone. Without you saying the candidate who you prefer, who are some that I should look at?
I list some major issues now:
War- For
Illegal Immigration and Amnesty- Oppose
Stem Cell- For
Gay & Lesbian- Oppose
Abortion- For
Capital Punishment- For
Marijuana Legalization- Oppose
Gun Control- For
Environmental- Oppose
Legal Immigration- For groups like Federation for American Immigration Reform to reduce amount
Civil Liberties- Decrease
Social Security- For
I hope that is enough, thanks to anyone who helps

Who to Vote for?
Wow, almost the complete opposite of everything I believe in:
War- Against, against, against
Illegal Immigration and Amnesty- Againist, but make illegals earn their citizenship
Stem Cell- For
Gay & Lesbian- For
Abortion- For
Capital Punishment- For
Marijuana Legalization- For
War on Drugs - Against (Prohibition doesn't work)
Gun Control- Against
Environmental- For
Legal Immigration- For (after all, it is legal)
Patriot Act- Against
Civil Liberties- Increase, since government has taken away some
Social Security- For, but privatize it

With that list, I think you'd need to vote for at least three candidates because I don't think you'll find ONE who would believe all the things you do.
Sure, some just might follow your thinking, but to appeal to whatever "base" they think they have there is no way they would publicly support them all.
Honestly, I don't think you should listen to ANYONE on this or any other online forum (or anyone ELSE for that matter) for advice on who to support. You have your own mind and your own feelings, so the only advice you SHOULD pay any attention to would be to take your list and match it against all the candidates in BOTH parties.
You won't find one who matches ALL of them, I'll wager, but you can go with the one who matches MOST of the items listed. Remember, politics is the art of compromise.
And then vote for MY candidate, who is listed below. I suppose it would be a write-in.

You will like the police state that is covering America like a thick fog. The Thompson / Giuliano ticket will provide you gun control, bad environment, decreased liberties and all the war that your heart could desire.

There's practically no one except maybe some far right Republicans who support the war. There is no one on the left who opposes homosexuality. Something you may want to do to improve your list (and allow a possible answer to your question) is to RANK the order of the issues in terms of how important they are to you.

I find it hilarious that the "party of small government" is backing two people like Benito Giuliani and Thompson who seem to be the anti-thesis of states rights and Conservatism. Meanwhile, a cantidate like Ron Paul who is sounding the most like a level-headed, free thinking individual on nearly any given subject is getting hardly any press whatsoever. Very, very provocative, indeed.

I would lose all respect for you if you ever ran for president.
