Angry The candidates

AS far as I am concerned there is no one candidate out ther right now in either party, Democrat or Republican that I would vote for. Neither one has proven to me that they are worthy of my vote. I am a conservative Democrat.

Hello flattop and welcome.

I think there are a lot of us that can't find a party that represents our views.

I think Ron Paul is really the only person I can vote for. He represents a return to the constitution and shows respect for it. For example he is against the Patriot Act, against the war in Iraq, against the war on drugs, against us being in the WTO and other trade agreements, and is not bound to the special interests.

I agree with smallgovt. Have you checked out Ron Paul, flattop?
Ron Paul 2008 — Hope for America

He seems to be the answer for many voters who are disillusioned with the current crop of crap. I certainly like the guy.

Ron Paul is the only honest candidate, but that's because he's not gonna win so he can be.
I don't like him because he wants to get rid of a lot of our government, and I think we need the stuff.
Plus, I really don't think he would have the power (as president) to do the stuff he says he will, so in that way he's not much better than everyone else.

I'm in the same boat flattop. I'm an Aussie and our federal elections are coming up soon, there's not one of the candidates, that i think would do anything to change the state of our nation for the better. In fact, i think the voting system is flawed. We're given a choice, Joker #1 , or Joker # 2, and this leads the public to beleive that we're having some sort of say in how the country is run. This is true of nearly every country. We don't need political or governmental change, or even political revoultion, what we need is complete cultural revolution. Once people can all go out and start having sex in the streets, will we be the true masters of our own destiny.

Welcome aboard Flattop and yoiu are right. Have you checked out Unity08: Select & Elect a Unity Ticket in the 2008 Presidential Race | they are working an interesting plan for the elections. Will it work, doubtful, but at least they are working for the inclusion of the people in the political process.

If it doesn't matter what he can get done or not, then why even vote for anyone, or be particular for who you vote for? I mean, they're all going to run into tough times. And just because he might find it difficult makes him a bad cantidate?

What things is he getting rid do you feel you can't live without, let alone the country?

I agree that Ron Paul is the best candidate. I intend on voting for him the primary next year if he sticks out until then. If he doesn't, then I'll vote for Fred Thompson.

That's why he hasn't a snowballs chance in hell. He hasn't the willingness to bend our ears with lies and BS masked by clever sophistry.

Americans have grown largely ignorant of this aspect of politics today and aren't yet READY for a candidate that will be truthful and real.

We'll just get two NEW master bullshitters to "choose" from.

This is the reality we're facing today.
