I don't pay much attention to Al Gore, though maybe I should. Then again, I'm also not a Republican.
I don't actually think Al Gore is that big of a worry on their lists. I see more Republicans scrambling to fight off Hillary than Al Gore. They also spend a bit more time discredting Obama ("not enough experience"), though his share of experience equals that of Edwards. Republicans are funny people. : )
What I do worry about is the state we are in with our lesser evils system we have with voters, but that's another topic I suppose.

Edwards is a minor player--a high functioning ambulance chaser who managed to win a Senate seat (and who mainly ran for President, because he knew he would never be re-elected in his own state). We don't discredit him, because we don't need to. Heck, he couldn't even help Kerry win a single Southern state.
Obama and Hillary are the candidates that scare me as a Republican.

Well, I will say that none of them seem very impressive. I almost was going to go really deep to find an independent for next year until I found a cantidate I could take seriously... funnily enough, it happens to be the first Republican I've ever supported.

Because he "created the Internet".

Remember 2000? Wasn't it Al Gore that won the people's vote?

By 500,000 votes, however, since the popular vote is only an interesting statistical fact, it really doesn't matter. The difference in votes was half a percentage point. The only difference in vote that mattered was the EC, which GW Bush won by 5 votes.

I don't fear Al Gore. I think he'd make a great President.
