The USA drew worldwide criticism for failing to adopt the greatest international agreement for the reduction of some greenhouse gases, The Kyoto Protocol, which has been accepted by nearly every other country. This is despite the fact that the USA is by a massive margin the world's biggest polluter and very disproportionately so.

Sorry I didn't provide a source, it just seems to me like common knowledge that the U.S is the biggest polluter in the world.

We've just seen proof that we're not. Heck, compared to China, we are Greens.
Please show proof, or acknowledge that you are wrong.

We should keep in mind that China has about five times as many people as the U.S. does, although it would still be wise to note that their nation makes up about a quarter of the globe and has 4/5 of the twenty most polluted cities.
They are probably so polluted because of how rapidly their industry is growing/changing.

Now do you think the U.S is so Green?

The only thing I can do is provide sources to the information I give, being as I'm not a scientist.

You concentrate on carbon emissions. I don't buy the argument that carbon dioxide is a major pollutant. It's not. Major pollutants are ones that harm people in low concentrations, like ozone and nitrogen oxides. Carbon if anything, helps living things--namely plants.

Well sadly, there isn't anything to "buy": it is a fact that CO2 is a greenhouse gas and is responsible for global warming. And co2 is a poisonous gas.
As for sources, there is one a provided earlier which I will give again and another that shows that CO2 is a poisonous gas:
Colliery Gases - Carbon Dioxide or Carbonic Acid Gas (not Carbonic Acid)
United States of America: Oil, Pollution and Kyoto
All this to say that the U.S is run by business interests, or else why would we not ratify Kyoto?
