No, I'll give Romney my full support. I'd like to support a good candidate, but I'd also like to know that ym time won't be wasted.

Here's what I want you to do, Troiani. Go get a copy of Animal Farm and read it. It's not very long, nor difficult. I want you to particularly pay attention to the last chapter, and most specifically the last two pages. I then want you to look at Romney. Then place him alongside McCain and Giuliani. While we're at it, put them next to Obama, Edwards, and Hillary. I think you'll get quite a revelation if you do this.
Romney is a tool, IMO.
Just vote for the lesser of two evils, right? Just lower the standards of the country due to who is getting publicity, right? Whatever, man. That is a terrible way to vote.
The lesser of two evils is still evil. What's worse? To "throw your vote away" by voting independent/someone who speaks their mind, not party line, on issues, or to throw the country away by voting down party lines, regardless of the quality? Why not vote for the best qualified cantidate?

Let's look at your issues...
Hmm, you want a Federal Minimum Wage increase (increasing the size of the Federal Government)...nope.
You want to play Risk with another country. Nope.
You want Federal Universal Healthcare (increasing the size of Federal Government). Nope.
You do not say how you will curb Illegal Immigration, and from your statements I smell militarization of the border. Nope.
You want to force colleges to lower tuition. You spell "through" as "thru". Nope.
You want to shut down factories via Government power. Nope.
You have a pretty scary vision of America. I won't be voting for you.

Out of curiosity, how can you have an Independent Party?

I don't quite understand how anyone could give Mitt Romney their full support. The guy changes his position more frequently than a weather vane in a thunderstorm.
How can you possibly trust him? You realize that if he gets the GOP nomination the Democrats will destroy him with the flip-flop tagline just like the Republicans did to Kerry.

Looking over the posts on the web I'm begining to like this Ron Paul guy more and more. Reminds me of a black and white Hollywood Movie made in the early thirties called "Gabrial Over The White House". Very likely one of those flicks that eventually resulted in the 'McCarthyite' assault on Hollywood.

Good question! Basically, they are those candidates that did not get the nomination of their party and their egoes will not let them bow out gracefully. I mean look at Liebermann, Anderson, et al. There is an independent in the Senate I believe, Bernie Sanders, but originally he was a socialist. In the US Independent gets you more votes than socialist.
