Reality is a good premise, but there are some discrepancies.

From talking about Al Qaeda when he in fact should have said "shiite extremists", to calling Putin the president of Germany and now talking about a state that seized to exist 15 years ago. What's next?

McCain is an expert on military policy, not so much foreign policy.
Who cares if McCain is showing signs of age? At least we know he likes this country. Obama scares me because he refuses to wear an American Flag pin. I know it sounds like a stupid reason to distrust him, but I have good reason. Its kinda weird how the media asks him why he doesn't wear the pin, and he dodges the question. The media points out every week that he does not wear it, and he still DOES NOT WEAR IT. It's like the picture I saw on these forums earlier where all the candidates are standing with their hands over their hearts, and Obama is standing there with his hands clasped in front of him.

There is something wrong with that guy, and I don't trust him because he talks about loving America, but fails to show it.

McCain on the other hand has some very minor problems. Calling Shiite Extremists Al-Queda? They are closely related because we have evidence to show that they are working together. Czeckoslovakia? (I butchered the spelling) it only ceased to exist under that name. The Czech Republic is the exact same freaking country, just with a different name and government. Even I get the two mixed up sometimes, and I'm a young student with a fascination with history and politics. It's like Istanbul and Constantinople.

Obama's gaffe

Guess Obama either does not know much about his own country.....or he is losing it....

Today, in Oregon, he was talking about all the places he has been during this campaign.....and that he had been to 47 states...."Only 1 more and I would have been in every state in the US"...(May not be an exact quote, but it is close enough)...Well, today, he got rid of 2 of our states....i wonder which 2 he is talking about....Florida and Michigan, maybe????

And as far as BHO's popularity....and all the crowds he draws....

Reminds me of the 50's when another young man who traveled the US, giving "inspirational" speeches, drawing large crowds, and raising lots of money, ....He had a lot of people convinced that he was some kind of hero and savior and walked on water also....

His name was Fidel Castro....and he went on to lead the revolution in Cuba and overthrow it's government......Only then did he announced that he was and always had been a Communist and owed his allegiance to the USSR,,,,He betrayed a lot of people.....Surprise! Surprise! The rest is history....

Beware of wolves in sheeps clothing....The plain and simple truth is
WE DO NOT KNOW WHO THIS MAN IS OR WHERE HE COMES FROM

And in this day and age....given the world situation, we don't need any more surprises....It is insane for anyone to vote for this man.....there is absolutely nothing in his record to indicate that he has what it will take to deal with the serious and dangerous situation in the world....

Do you love America Mr. Roberts? Yes? Where is your pin? Until you start wearing a tiny little pin 24/7 to prove you love America, we must assume that you secretly hate America. I don't need visual proof of patriotism and, yes you are right, that is a stupid reason to distrust him. By the way, he did wear a pin when he was at ceremony in honour of American veterens. A veteren walked up to Obama and offered him a pin. Obama took it and put it on. So wearing the flag pin does not actually melt him like the Wicked Witch of the West.

The exact quote was: "I think one left to go, one left to go. Alaska and Hawaii I was not allowed to go to even though I really wanted to visit, but my staff would not justify it."

So there you go. It's not quite as rediculous as your assumptions.

Well I guess you are living in the Land of the Free and the Home of the Insane because Barack Obama has the majority of Democratic voters behind him and will have the majority of all voters behind him come November.

And no, Ron Paul isn't an option for me so I will probably lean toward McCain if his VP choice is a person that I feel could be a good president.
i dont hear abaout Keating five issue befojr like you say.when i find this i t have t o do with campagne practise.i dont think this will make Mccain election difficult.

If mitt romney can force me to vote for mcCain hillary can do it for either of them

Hillary has already said that she will pull for the democratic party no matter what. Already she's started attacking McCain rather than Obama. Which is awesome.

Obama is and will win the white house. There's no doubt about it.

Wow...
Anybody familiar with Illinois politics could tell you who this man is and where he came from. He's been involved in public service just damn near his whole adult life, if not all of his adult life.
He was a community leader long before he was ever an elected official.
As far as the other poster talking about the damn flag pin---Obama actually has answered this question--several times.
I've seen numerous tapes of him answering it---no, he doesn't answer it every time he is asked because he would prefer to talk about real issues, like, oh I don't know---health care and education and oh yeah, the war.
Jeez...
As to the original question, yeah, I think it's possible for him to beat McCain. I don't necessarily think he is a shoe in, but I think he could win for many, many reasons.
I certainly think he has a better chance to win that Hillary Clinton does. There have been lots of Republicans vote for Obama, and not the kind the Rush Limbaugh persuaded to vote for Hillary.
