Operation Chaos - Rush Limbaugh
Rush Limbaugh urges vote for Obama - CNN.com
"We have done our part to expose Obama through our support of 'Operation Chaos,' effectively using the Clinton campaign as our foil, and Obama and the Democrat Party are the weaker for it," he said. "Every objective has been met and surpassed."
Basically talks about how Rush Limbaugh urged Republicans to vote for Clinton to keep the divisive race going. I know this is nothing new, but I just read the article and wanted to make a thread about it.
Now yall know that I could very well live with McCain as president and I agree with a sizeable amount of Republican policies, but seriously, this is pathetic. Simply pathetic. It is fair go to for anyone to openly support whatever candidate he wants, but in the case of Rush Limbaugh, it is obvious he has mentally not progressed much since childhood...

I'm not sure I understand the hate toward Limbaugh??
He has an opinion but he just so happens to share his across the airwaves. If voters did as he said because they blindly follow him then the article is probably correct, the same sheeple probably would have blindly followed the masses and gone for Obs if they weren't led by someone else. It's pretty sad that some are easily led but so be it; it isn't Limbaugh's fault; he just suggests but can't force people to do what he says.
If that were the case, then I should be able to search and find a similar thread from Az that condemns Oprah, who has a huge following of sheeple, announced her support for Oprahma..............or is that different because the support is for Oprahma?????????????????
It's just celebrity endorsements, no more no less.

It doesn't have anything to do with celebrity endorsement. As I said, if Limbaugh wants to speak out and tell everyone how awesome McCain a candidate is, which Oprah is doing in the case of Obama, than go ahead please, I'll even encourage him to do so.
But calling for Republicans to basically sabotage the democratic primaries is nothing short of trying to undermine democracy itself. He wants to put what he calls "the weaker of the two candidates" into a position where he could potentially become president - I think it tells you a lot about one's "patriotism", a term that republicans seem to be terribly fond of, if someone wants "the weaker candidate" to get a shot at becoming president. The guy is a disgrace.

I agree with everything Aztek said. Limbaugh is pathetic for encouraging republicans to vote democrat in the primaries. It seems that since republicans know their chances of winning in November is minimal, they will do whatever is necessary to take the election. Limbaugh should be ashamed and also the people who are actually following his scheme and taking part in Operation Chaos. Eitherway come November, I believe Rush's little operation will blow up in his face. North Carolina and Indiana proved that all the negativity thrown at Obama has not affected voter's confidence in him.

It's a contradiction; Oprah in essence through her endorsement told people to vote Oprahma........it's the same bloody thing. It's just celebrities.
OK, maybe Limbaugh is a fool, so what. Why is it assumed that people will listen to his advice and do as he says any more than those that listen to Oprah? Please don't let your feelings for Limbaugh cloud your judgment, again, just another foolish celebrity using their platform for political purpose

Not even close. Oprah actually supports Obama. She believes in what he is trying to do. It would be the same had Oprah entreated the masses that watch her show to go vote for Huckabee to keep the GOP divided. Limpballs is trying to sabotage the primary of the party he opposes. Big difference.

Because he epitomizes everything that is wrong with American politics. He's about as appealing as a bucket of monkey shit. He is the apex of hypocrisy. Why anyone would listen to a self-admitted womanizer and drug addict on issues of character is beyond me.

These derogations coming from the left towards Limbaugh has fascinated me from the get go, he's no hero of mine, but it seems all the compassion of the left goes right out the door the moment you start talking about people whoare ideologically opposed to them. . .interesting.

It's the hypocricy of his words in the face of his deeds, not the actual pill popping, that inspires malice toward Rush.
