Well I can almost garuntee that it won't be John Kerry. John Kerry is a certified loser as far as the Dems go. Besides, the Repubs have a huge portfolio of negative smears they can throw at him, it worked before. My vote is either Bill Richardson- as he's bi-lingual he can bring the growing latino community in the fold, and maybe Bob Casey. During the Pennsylvania primary, Obama and Casey grew pretty close.

Governor Kathleen Sibelius. Obama has a problem with old bitter white women. Give them an old white woman to vote for and have as President if Obama gets two terms in office.
At 59, she's getting a bit up there, but she can still make a good run at 67.....I think.

At 50 years old, Governor Napalitano (sp?) would probably be a better choice, as far as age is concerned. She's just not very photogenic which doesn't help so much.

Obama ruined a “sure thing.” the Democrats had the election in the bag. Obama ran as a nearly flawless candidate until, almost at the very end, when he had a good majority of delegates, everyone finds out that he is a fatally flawed candidate who has no chance to win. CNN says 50% of Hillary supporters will, if he wins, either vote McCain or not show up to vote at all. Obama better pick a very popular VP. Maybe Gore wants to be a vice president again.
The question is: why would someone go to a radical church for twenty years, associate with a terrorist, and then decide to run for President of the United States of America? What else is going to come out of the woodworks? Maybe Obama should give it to Hillary and then let her pick a VP.

Bill Richardson is my first guess as well. Obama is urban and urbane. Richardson is rural and folksy.

He has a few choices and they are all good.
The obvious choice is Hillary Clinton. I think that would be a great move to unify the party, and also bring her coalition back into the Democratic fold. I think he will have a very difficult time choosing another woman as his running mate. The question will become, "If he was going to choose a woman, why didn't he choose Hillary?" As much as I think Sebelius, Janet Nepolitiano, McCaskill would be great additions to the Democratic ticket, I think name recognition is a big thing especially with such a late primary season, and they don't work well with that.
I admire John Edwards so much and if he isn't chosen as running mate, he needs to have a prominent role in the White House. Same goes for Bill Richardson, Joe Biden, and Chris Dodd.
I would also like to respond to the comment the previous poster made about Hillary voters being too turned off by Obama. I think that will eventually clear itself up before November but it will be on Hillary's part to try and do so. As well, I don't think those exit polls are accurate because Obama supporters are obviously going to say they will vote for Hillary because they know they won't have to make that choice. That isn't true Clinton's supporters.
My Top 5 Running Mate Choices in no particular order
Hillary Clinton
John Edwards
Kathleen Sebelius
Bill Richardson
Chris Dodd

I seriously doubt Hillary would accept an invitation from Obama to be his running mate.

Actually, I think you have it backwards. Hillary supporters see that she may lose. So, why not give in, and vote for the other Democrat? It should be Obama supporters who say they wouldn’t vote for Hillary, because for her to win, it would take super-delegates to turn over the nomination to her. This is not the case though, for even if the election was “stolen” by Hillary, Obama supporters would vote for her as shown in the polls.
