Thumbs down There's suspicion that Hillary is tearing down Obama so she can run again in 2012

I'll keep my registration as a Democrat, so I can vote against Hillary for a 3rd time, if she runs again. I'll also be voting against Hillary every time she comes up for election as Senator for New York. If Obama loses and Hillary runs again in 2012, I'm either voting 3rd party or Republican.

The Democrats are very stupid people if they allow it, even more stupid than they were this year. Run Governor Kathleen Sibelius, Governor Janet Napolitano or even Senator Claire McCaskill. Stop giving us Hillary, you dumb broads.

You can't rule anything out with the Clintonator.

They have became so selfishly suicidal in this campaign that anything is possible.

This could only be true if Clinton believes two things. First is that she will not gain the nomination this year and second that Obama won't win in November.

If Clinton wins the nomintation and does not win the presidency then she would not typically be a consideration in 2012. Why would the Democrats put up a loser a second time to go against McCain (the theoretical winner) who would be running as an incumbant. And if Obama wins the presidency in November then he would be the incumbant in 2012 and the likely Democratic nominee.

So does Clinton believe she will not get the nomination and that the Democrats will lose in November????? Would she intentionally work to prevent Obama from winning in November so that she would have another shot at the presidency in 2012?

She faces a 2% chance of being the nominee this year. Plain and simple. The media tends to leave it at, 'She faces daunting math.'

Even if she won with unimaginable margins in all of the remaining contests, she would still need 65%-75% of all remaining super-D's to over turn the pledged delegate count and go her way. This is very unlikely. While most of the American populace is in the dark on what Clinton is doing to the party, the Super-D's are well aware, and they don't like it. Listen to party leaders such as Pelosi and Dean. While they won't come out and endorse, it's clear who they like (Obama) and its clear they want Clinton to bow out.

I suspect we will see a flood of Super-D endorsements for Obama after May 6th IN and NC contests. I think many have been waiting to pledge their support for Obama and nudge Clinton out, but they have to wait for a time when Obama wins. (Endorsing Obama after Hillary's March 4th and April 22nd wins would be pointless.)

Clinton and her entire campaign understand the math, too (this is why they are continually redefining the metric of a win). So, in defense of the original post, her continued presence in the race does far more to bring down Obama than it does raise her prospects of being the nominee. If she drags him down far enough and he loses to McCain... HILLARY 2012!!!

Far fetched? Maybe. At this point, I really wouldn't doubt it though.

HI
Well as a fellow New Yorker...I'll use my vote to cancel out your vote when Hillary runs again.

And if Obama wins the nomination...I'm voting Republican!

FYI - You are voting Republican.

Nice to see you are willing to base your vote on a grudge instead of where you stand on the most pressing issues facing the country.

While I support Obama, there is a clear distinction between the direction McCain intends to take the country and where the Dems wish to see it go; I'm voting Dem this election no matter what. Will it be hard to vote for someone I rooted against for so long? Probably. But this isn't about me or 'my horse'; it's about the millions (well, billions) of people this election will affect.

For larger US government: Clinton, Obama, McCain

For US interventionism in the affairs of other nations: Clinton, Obama, McCain

For continued US presence in Iraq: Clinton, Obama, McCain

For increasing the national debt: Clinton, Obama, McCain

For $400 billion plus defense budget: Clinton, Obama, McCain

Opposed to following the US Constitution: Clinton, Obama, McCain

For the War on Drugs: Clinton, Obama, McCain

So where are the differences?

You contradict your previous post. If there is NO difference, what is compelling you to vote for Hillary over McCain?

Also, quick lesson in logic, a list of similarities is not sufficient to conclude there are no differences.

Obvious ones: Health care reform, approach to Iraq, diplomatic intentions with Iran, suspension of gas tax, tax rates (capital gains, income, corporate, etc.), so on and so on.

While I believe that Clinton's actions over the past month have been both reprehensible and harmful to both Obama and the party, I find the notion that she's doing this so as to secure the nomination in 2012 is rather silly. I believe that it is much more plausible that she honestly believes that she can still receive the nomination at the convention in Denver, though of course this is all but impossible. The real problem for her with regards to this is that if she continues to damage Obama and does so to a degree sufficient enough to keep him from winning in the general election, it is going to do significant and irreversible damage to Democrat's opinions of her. She will be blamed by many in the party for allowing McCain to win and this will all but ensure that she has no chance of ever receiving the nomination.
