How Many Of You Live In Glass Houses?

this is my argument about the rev wrights comments----how many of you can say that you have ever sworn before? how many of you can say that you have never said god damn it-----how many of you live in glass houses? how many of you have forgiven someone for cheating on you without you being bitter-how many of you can say that you still believe somebody after they have lied to you? how many of you have been deceived by un-honest practices-and have been thoughly pissed off about it? It amazes me that with all the new technologies we have today-that people are still being hood-winked by hillary-if rev wright is the only reason you have for not voting for obama(which is the only concensiuos i can come up with) well i ask you then to cast the first stone-if you are truely a christian-you can't throw that stone---NUF SAID

How many of you can say I have said "God Damn America"?

How many of you can say I have listened to someone else say "God Damn America"?

How many of you can say I have listened to someone else say "God Damn America" and I said nothing in defense of my country?

How many of you can say I have listened to someone else say "God Damn America" and I later gave them money to help continue their message?

Look, Rev Wright may or may not be a reason to vote against Obama. Call me suspicious but I am always annoyed when a cover up of the truth is taking place. Obama refuses to explain his silent support of this speech. That is an issue. If we found out that John McCain has been attending white supremacy (or pick any other anti-American action) churches for the last 20 years I want a discussion of that also. The current issue seems to be whether people are allowed to be informed of this event or not (campaign ads, debates etc.)

What is the point of this thread?
A "good" Christian has to vote this or that way?

White supremacy and black liberation are not analogus. And while he hasn't been attending the churchs, McCain gladly accepted the endorsement of BOTH John Hagee and Rod Parsley. After nearly a month McCain finally denounced Hagee's comments, but not the man (same as Obama with Wright). He has not denounced Parsley in any way. Both of these guys are FAR worse than Wright. Hagee refers to the Catholics as the great American whore and Parsley calls for the complete destruction of all of Islam. They are bigots pushing a hate filled agenda. Rev. Wright lived through the civil rights movement and black liberation is a movement centered around uplifting the black race; not shooting down others.

Also, Wright is FAR from un-American. this is ridiculous. Due to his schooling status, he was exempt from the draft into the Vitenam War. Instead, he enlisted in the Marines on his own and then served four years in the Navy while Bush, Cheney, Rove, Hagee, and Parsley were all busy draft dodging.

The man is a patriot. Far more of a patriot that Stephanopulous or Gibson.

Along with his military service, he has donated the rest of his life to community building. I find it appalling what the media has done to this man.

People have been informed about nothing else besides this man for the last month.

way to hone in on the one part that looks good to your eye's, boss

and the comparrison doesn't end there. There is no need for Obama to further denounce Wright, than McCain denounces his bigot cheerleading squad. Considering they aren't his pastors and have done nothing to directly and positively influence McCain's life or neighborhood, it should be very easy for him to denounce these men.
