The Democrats need to start pulling out all the bigots from the Republican Party (Hagee, Billy Graham, Falwell, Robertson) and start putting ads out about them too.
i don't know about Billy Graham being a bigot.
it's one thing to speak out against homosexuality or immoral activity based on religious doctrine.
it's another thing to speak out against whites with no religious purpose or basis whatsoever.
pat robertson is fair game (although it's kinda rude to pick on retarded people)

You speak of a possibility as if it were a certainty. So far, the Democrats are only good at swift-boating each other, not Republicans. Show me one ad where the Democrats had the guts to Swiftboat the Republicans. I haven't seen that kind of ad from a Democrat since LBJ's Daisy ad in 1964.
This actually is my first year where I am paying attention as much as I am. I would assume that this ad I believe would come out seems all too obvious from my limited point of view. I do know that the Willie Horton ad was created by the Republicans but the story came from a Democratic debate.
So you don't think they will swift-boat the Republicans this year if they deem it necessary?
Also, what is the difference between swift-boating and this ad?

If the Democrats have any sense, they will do the exact same thing to McCain, linking him to the radical preachers of the GOP and then Obama can say oh man, that was such a horrible attack.
Unless McCain attended and donated to one of their churches for 20 years, it wouldn't make much sense for Obama to do the same thing.

McCain said he sought the endoresement of Hagee and that he is happy to have it. That's all the Democrats need. The Democrat needs some kind of counterpart to the Republican attack machine. They need to make an ad right now with either video or documentation of Hagee calling Catholicism a great whore and then video of McCain meeting with him, speaking with him and saying that he is glad he got his endorsement (which I believe he did on ABC). Then just sit on it. Wait until the GOP runs the Wright-Obama add and then open the bomb bay doors and let er' rip.

The ad you list is perfectly legitimate. It is not Swift-boating. Swift boating is total gutter politics. It would be like me just standing up and calling you some shit just because I feel like it. I could call you a pedophile, a terrorist sympathizer, a homosexual, whatever. Anything. Bush and his buddies already Swiftboated McCain (in 2000 when McCain first ran for President) when they basically said that he was brain-washed by the Vietcong and is a Vietnamese puppet, that his wife is a self-medicating crack whore and that McCain was having an affair with a black woman outside of his marriage to Cindy.
THAT is Swiftboating.
