Rev. Wright: Fox's Hannity 'Stuck on Stupid'

Quote:
Wright didn't mention church member Obama, who has denounced Wright's inflammatory comments circulated in video excerpts of his past sermons.

But in his eulogy at Saturday's funeral for the late R. Eugene Pincham, a retired judge, Wright did pillory some of his critics, including Fox News commentators Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity.

Wright said Pincham befriended "Jews, Muslims, rabbis, imams, fathers in the Catholic church and (Louis) Farrakhan in the Islamic faith."
Quote:
He said: "Fox News can't understand that. O'Reilly will never get that. Sean Hannity's stupid fantasy will keep him forever stuck on stupid when it comes to comprehending how you can love a brother who does not believe what you believe."

The remarks drew a standing ovation. Officials said the megachurch's 2,500-seats were filled with mourners.
Quote:
Wright also spoke of patriotism and the history of America's treatment of blacks. He said the country's founding fathers "planted slavery and white supremacy in the DNA of this republic," and said that Thomas Jefferson wrote, "God would punish America for the sin of slavery. I guess that makes Thomas Jefferson unpatriotic."

So you're saying that in addition to being a fiery orator, Rev. Wright is also a master of the most blatantly obvious?

My thoughts? I think Reverend Wright was rightand wrong about AIDS Right about God's wrath. Right about the 3 strikes law. Right about the prison industrial complex. Right about drugs (specifically crack cocaine). Right about United States foreign policy as it pertains to Africa (and Condeleeza Rice and Powell), right about state sponsored terrorism. Right about a country whose culture and treasure has been controlled by rich white people (think cotton). Right that Hillary hasn't ever been called a N***** and lived under an oppressive society, right that all of these issues are relevant not only to black Americans but all Americans who believe in life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Furthermore, I see something of a pattern. Thomas Jefferson is an American hero, yet he made an equivalent speech on more than one occasion during his lifetime.

As did Martin Luther King, Jr.

There is also the issue about traveling to countries that are our so called enemies, yet our country has a history of doing that. Propping up governments, toppling elected officials and installing dictators, etc.

Yes blatantly obvious on matters far more important than Hannity.
