Obama is already indoctrinated. you don't get to washington without playing the political game the same way as everyone else, and you don't get this close to a nomination unless you have a lot of support from within the corrupted system.

"ready" means experienced enough in the system we have to be able to actually make changes happen, and not just come up with great ideas and never get them done. understanding the constitution isn't enough. there are thousands of constitutional law professors in this country, and that doesnt make all of them ready to be president.

of course Obama's possible legacy as the first black president is irrelevent because, as we all know, Bill Clinton was the first black president, right?

Yeah, black is a color. So is white. Is Indian a color? Calling someone an Indian is the same as calling someone Irish, they can be black, white, and anywheres in between. It's a nationality.

Do you seriously think that people, if given pictures of his maternal and paternal grandparents, would call Obama white?

Well, there is a term that he could be called but it seems to have gone out of fashion. White implies full European heritage, Black for some reason just means partial sub-Sahara African heritage. I just think its strange.

You'll never see someone call an Indian person black, and terms such as "African-American" and "Black" are interchangeable. When people say white, black, or whatever, they are implying ethnicity, not the color of their skin. White people aren't the color white (Except true albinos), and most Blacks aren't Black (Except a minority who are really dark).

The proper term for Obama would be Mulatto.
