It's from the book "The Real McCain" by Cliff Schecter.

It should be noted that Schecter is a very partisan democrat journalist/blogger/campaign strategist and I have my doubts as to his objectivity. Also, this incident didn't make the press back in '92, back when it supposedly happened (in front of at least 3 reporters yet).

Even if this incident were to be true, I find another statement that McCain admits to having made to be much more troubling:

"O.K., I'll give you military information if you will take me to the hospital." - from an article McCain himself wrote about his experience as a POW, published in U.S. News and World Report, May 14, 1973

There's more:

carrier (due to its raids on the North Vietnam territory - VNA) and
which necessitated replacements. From 10 to 12 pilots were transferred
like me from the Forrestal to the Oriskany. Before I was shot down, we
had made several sorties. Altogether, I made about 23 flights over
North Vietnam.'"

In that report, McCain was quoted describing the number of aircraft in
his flight, information about rescue ships, and the order of which his
attack was supposed to take place.

This isn't fabricated "swift boat" stuff, it's all a matter of record.

It means strumpet, but has the connotation of floozy, whore, slut, etc.

Now, I am no McCain supporter, but you are going to have to do better than an Op-Ed with no back up references.

BTW, I have read that book. It was pure and total bull shit from page one. The only thing that could be corroborated was the authors name.

Is McCain an angry old man? Yes, you would be too after his life. Is he an immoral man?

I honestly do not think so.

I was asked to provide a link to the incident. Now you're trying to dismiss it as bullshit because you don't have a folder full of backup evidence? Hahahaha!! That's your problem pal. LOL!

It is just one in a series of incidents that highlight McCain as an arrogant, mouthy old asshole with a short temper.

I don''t think he's a bad guy all the time, but I think it's true he's an asshole.
