As a fairly liberal democrat, I am saddened and angered in equal measure. I don't want four more years of a Republican monarchy, but if all we dems can do is shoot ourselves in the foot, I guess we deserve it. "I" personally don't deserve it, I just get to live with the backlash. It's a shame, but the one bad apple analogy always seems to apply.

I fear it would be far more than African Americans that would be very unhappy.
It's been infuriating enough to feel the republicans robbed us of an election, but to have your own party to this to you is unthinkable.
Except, of course, it's becoming all the more realistic and thus more frightening.

If neither candidate has the delegates to win, then it is her right to fight it. They are not fighting over any plank in the Dem platform, this is not going to be 1968 (!!).

At any rate, if there is a fight, it will just make the convention a little more exciting and garner higher ratings. Conventions used to be meaningful events and not just infomercials for the respective parties. Me personally, I am beyond caring.

I think not only African Americans, but you can just forget about lily white states like Washington, Oregon, Iowa, Colorado and Wisconsin. You can also forget about the next generation of Democratic voters who stay home or go hang out with their friends instead of voting.

There is absolutely no way Hillary can beat McCain. Her approval rating is 38%, her disapproval rating is 45%.

The damage that would be done to the DNC if Hillary was indeed selected as a nominee at the convention due to the superdelegates would be humongous. I mean seriously, I know how the democratic primary system works rather in detail and the thought behind it - but try explaining it to something around 50 million people who voted in democratic primaries that their votes are worthless! Why the hell does the DNC ask the population what they want if in the end it doesn't matter anyways? The system has its merrits, it would be legal if Hillary walked away with the nomination, but just try explaining that to the people. "Disenfranchising" Florida and Michigan will seem like a walk in the park compared to disenfranchising some 55% of democratic voters countrywide.

Hillary was set to win the nomination from the start. The people said no, we want Obama (there's no way Hillary can surpass Obama in delegates, and its very unlikely she'll surpass him in the popular vote) and the party says "hell no, we're taking Hillary". WTF? No way that's happening, the party can't be that dumb. Obama will likely loose in November as it seems, but there's no way Hillary is getting this nomination.

There is one silver lining in this grey cloud: the more Hillary makes an ass out of herself, the more she diminishes her chance of ever running again for the Presidency.
