I read something interesting this morning at the Pew homepage. It's called the "reverse Bradley effect". Obama's poll numbers in largely black areas go underreported.
Given that the nomination is going into caucuses, which cuts participation down by 70%, there's reason to believe Obama can hold onto the popular vote.
Also, some polling I've seen indicates that is Obama pretty strong in Michigan.
