My Fellow Americans and Bloggers

My Fellow Americans and Bloggers,

As a Moderate Democrat and serious Hillary supporter I knew going into this past weekend that Obama was going to win Washington, Louisiana, Nebraska and Maine. With that said, as a Democrat I was willing to give Obama another fair and unbiased look as our Democratic Nominee should Hillary not be elected our nominee.

After watching Hillary speak at the Jefferson-Jackson dinner in Virginia I thought she gave a very strong Presidential and Democratic speech. Not once did she use her speech as a Stump speech nor did she ever mention Barack Obama or her policies. An hour later Barack comes out and used his speech as a Stump speech with the same comments and used the speech to stomp on Hillary instead of speaking about the purpose of the Democratic Party and what the Democratic Party means to our country. That ticked me off. Then I said ok let's truly look at Obama's record and Hillary's record. Let's truly evaluate this man and his background so I did that.

After all was said and done I know without any doubts that Hillary is the best choice for our country. She may not be as Popular as Barack Obama but, this election is not about the heat of the moment and who is the most popular. This election will probably go down as one of the most critical elections of our times. It is a fact that the next President is going to inherit the biggest mess that a new President is ever going to see. From war to our economy being mess, Illegal Immigration, Deficits and everything in between. Several Polls done on CNN and MSNBC said that the majority of people feel that Hillary would do a better job when it comes to Healthcare, Illegal Immigration, the economy mess and the war yet people are voting for Barack because he makes them feel good. The honeymoon is over and it is time to get very very serious about who would be the next nominee. Don't let Republicans scare you into thinking that they would much rather go up against Hillary because that is a fallacy.

I have always voted Democrat and not once ever wavered however, if it comes down to Barack Obama against John McCain instead of Hillary I must stick to my principles and core values and say that I cannot vote for Barack Obama. I have hated these last 7 years with the Bush-Cheney White House and it has been absolutely miserable however, I cannot give my good vote toward someone who is untested, unvetted, and who has been known to be vague when it comes to his policies. I cannot give my vote to someone just because he gives a message of hope because while that sounds good hope is really just a meaningless word when reality sets in. I don't say this to be a sore loser because that is not what this election is about. I don't say these things to bash Barack Obama. As a Democrat I am saying these things because I don't think that the Democratic base is looking at the big picture during this nominating cycle. In my opinion they are looking at today but, not tomorrow, next week, next month and next year.

Before you make your votes please remember this. It was only a few short years ago that Barack Obama was just a Organizer in some neighborhoods of the city of Chicago. While that is commendable does that really make him ready to be the next President of the United States? The most powerful person in the world. Does that qualify him to be able to run the United States? Let's not forget that this man had a history of drug use. We are not talking about smoking pot here. That is important not to bash Barack but, it shows what kind of character, morals and values that this man had or has as well.

Let me end by saying that in no way am I writing this to bash Barack Obama. I am writing this to reach out to all of you Democrats and asking you to reach in the far depths of your soul and do a serious gut check about who truly would be the best nominee based on Values, Morals, Principles, Policies not who is the most popular person. Brad Pitt is popular but, that does not qualify him to be President.

I see. So it's all about policies, but not about electability. OK, then why don't we make Paul Krugman the nominee for President? He's got way more economic expertise than Hillary. Hillary didn't get it right on Iraq, didn't bother reading the National Intelligence Estimate which contained doubts about the Iraq - WMD connection. So Hillary's got no foreign policy credentials. OK, so let's look at pure economic credentials and nominate Paul Krugman for the Democratic nomination. You're in favor of that, right? It's all about policy.

Sorry but the Clintons have strong ties to the Democratic leadership council and IMo, it just makes them look like a semi-liberal member of the GOP.
