John McCain has two strikes against him when it comes to being president. First, he is simply too old. Believe me, it does matter. Second, he has a notorously volatile temper that frequently crosses the line into almost uncontrollable rage. Advanced age tends to reduce a person's ability to control emotions, especially anger. Given the challenges we are likely to face in the coming years, I do not want to see someone like McCain with his finger on the button. Eight years ago I probably would have voted for McCain, but I cannot do so now.
