I was just about to start saying something to the effect of haha, suck it up, bitches but then I realized how I might feel in their position (like being stuck with Hillary).

wrong, WEB. Hillary is a democrat. Everything that she spills out of her mouth is mainly Democrat strategy. McCain, on the other hand, is 50-50, and that is why so many conservatives are worried.

Incorrect, dude. Hillary is a democrat, but she has no character. That actually means something to some people, dude. Also, she's so widely disliked that she's going to make it hard for ALL Democrats from the Congress to any Democrat who admits he or she is one.
You assumed that the only important thing about a candidate is their policies, and that's an incorrect assumption.

That's not the point. The point is, they feel the way you or I would feel if we got stuck with Hillary, and that sucks.

I think Dude's point might be that while both Clinton and McCain have massive personality problems at least Clinton has the right issues profile. McCain has the personality problems AND a bad policy profile. You'll hate Clinton but at least she'll more or less be in your corner. McCain won't even do that.

Depends on what is most important to you as a conservative. McCain is winning conservative votes, most likely from conservatives who list the war or spending as their #1 issues.
There was a time when foreign policy and spending were almost every conservative's #1 issue. Nowadays, immigration and hating Democrats have replaced those two as the most important things to Republicans.

According to the exit polls (which need to be taken with a grain of salt) McCain is getting pounded by Romney when it comes to self identified conservatives. When it comes to "very conservative" voters not only is Romney beating him but so is huckabee.

McCain is doing better with conservatives than Romney is doing with moderates.

I know. How does that change the fact that (unlike your claim) he's getting killed amoung conservatives?
