Ron Paul Wants All Votes Counted in Louisiana GOP Caucus.

Ron Paul's campaign has called for the GOP in Louisiana to count all the ballots submitted in our state's Republican caucus held last Tuesday, January 22nd.

Paul came in 2nd place, behind McCain and in front of Romney. Now we are talking about delegates here, that are to attend the primary in a week.

What Paul is contending is that hundreds of voters were forced to file provisional ballots b/c of mistakes by the Louisiana GOP. He says 500 voters statewide were not shown as registered Republicans on voter rolls. These provisional ballots were not included in the current totals.

Paul's campaign says that caucus locations relied on a voter list from November 1st, which is nearly a month short of party rules that state voters must be registered by November 30th.

On top of this, Paul's campaign says that at the original Januray 10th deadline, he had the most delegates pledged to him, but the party extended its deadline to January 12th, allowing candidates to file more delegates.

As of this time, the true numbers are not in, McCain's 1st place status is still w/o the provisional votes being counted, so who knows what will happen.

Just thought I would throw this out there. It sounds kind of backdoorish to me, but I wouldnt be surprised if it were, afterall this is Louisiana, and we are not exactly known for our ethical politics.

On a sidenote, the more I see of stuff like this, the more I wonder if we really have a say in our elections. I know here where I live, there were hardly any McCain staffers. Most were Paul staffers and Romney staffers. In fact I dont even recall McCain having a table, like the other 2 candidates.

I do whoever recall, that the Romney list was the wrong list, b/c the staffer told me the list I had in my hand was leaving off a few delegates, so I wonder if that was not on purpose too. They didnt have a new list to handout b/c they saw it to late. So I wrote down the new names on the bad list. Multiply that by a few hundred voters and you can see a problem there.

I just dont know. I see all these Paul supporters on TV and here around my house and then I see his numbers, and it just doesnt seem to jive. Either his supporters are just a few and the only ones you see, or someone is fudging the numbers. It just doesnt add up.
