I want Obama to win, especially if Joe Biden is his running mate. It would be a good mixture of youth and optimism with age and experience.

Want to know something funny? I was talking to my brother, who doesn't know jack shit about politics. He said that if Obama was President, he would be assassinated as there's no way they'd ever let a black man be President. I don't think that would happen though. Racists might actually find more use out of demonizing Obama and the government, rather than kill him.

A Hillary supporter that I know (who also knows jack-shit about politics) has told me the same thing with regards to assasination. I don't know why this opinion is so popular. I would think people would say it about Hillary given the amount of antimosity I see and hear from so many. In any event, I think you're right about him being used for demonization by racists rather than someone to assasinate. |

I agree. Assassination has that tendency to turn people into martyr's and help the general public forget all of their faults, turning them into heroes.
The Kennedy's, King, etc. have much bigger and positive legacies because they were assassinated. |

My husband has also said that he thinks if Obama becomes President he will be assassinated.
I used to think that might happen to GWB..but he's made it.
