Ron Paul out.

I support Ron Paul though not because I think he can win, but more so for the fact that he could cause the Republican Party to right the ship back to where it once was. I’m a Goldwater Republican and would like to see the GOP get back to that style of politics. Sound economics and less intrusion in personal lives. With that said I have two questions:

1. If you’re a Paul supporter, who is going to get your vote in November?
2. If you’re not, who should I vote for and why?

I know it’s hard not knowing who the nominees are, but make a case. (Superdude17 no need to respond, I know who you’ll say.)

I think Ron Paul is a piece of ..... Well, lol, so now you know what I think of him.

As for who you should vote for, are you referring to the primaries or the general election? If you have already made up your mind about voting for the primaries for Ron Paul and you are talking about who you should vote for in the general election, then you either have to:

(1) Wait to see who wins the GOP and DNC races

OR

(2) Do what I've done, which is to game out who you will vote for in different scenarios.

Sorry, in the general election. I agree with the wait and see, but I just want to see people push their candidates before they wither away.

OK, I'll go then, in the way that you wanted.

I support Barack Obama for President because I believe that capitalism is inherently unfair and that the rich, who are the capital owners always minimize wages. People who are pure capitalists believe that the free market is fair and that what that market gives you is what you deserve. They believe in the Invisible Hand (which I know they only mean figuratively) is the concept that people give you what you're worth.

I believe that capital owners give you the lowest amount that they can and that is due to their superior bargaining position and not what your work is worth. People who have lots of wealth have a superior bargaining position, and that's what makes wages what they are. What some economist regard as efficiency, I would call exploitation through that superior bargaining position.

Aside from this, I believe that it is inherently wrong for working people to be deprived of health care and quality schools and I strongly favor using the government to redress this unfairness. That leaves me with three candidates: Hillary, Obama and Edwards. Edwards' candidacy is compromised due to his position over "Two Americas" while owning a mansion, telling people to give up SUV's (while he drives one) and his use of his Poverty Center to evade campaign finance laws. Hillary Clinton is such an unprincipled bitch there are a myriad of pragmatic and moral reasons not to vote for her. Obama is inexperienced, but at least he tries to unite the country. Obama champions the social issues I like, which is why I will vote for him in the primary.

I will not say who you should vote for, as I do not like to tell people who they should vote for, based only upon what I believe.

I too like Obama, though some of his social and economic issues I could do without. Don’t cringe, but I believe he is a New Age Ronald Reagan in so far that he can communicate effectively with the people. If he beats Hillary, and God willing he will, I would seriously consider voting for him just to try some change in our country. I think he would be wise to choose a moderate Democrat for VP or even a moderate Republican.

I can tell you that after Obama lost in New Hampshire, I was crushed, really was. Even on a personal level, it really depressed the hell out of me. Honestly, I just don't want to feel that way again. I really just try to convince myself that politics is a spectator sport and that I'm just a spectator watching world history unfold on a stage.

Personally if I were an american Citizen, I would be voting for Hillary Clinton.

ON a single basis.

The Conservatives hate her guts. I don't think they can hate her anymore then they already do.

As someones sig on here suggests, I am going to vote for the person that my enemies hate the most.

I don't know how much you know about the American political system. Even though your legislative and executive branch are fused into one, we still share the same electoral majoritarian system, or the "winner takes all" electoral system.

So how would you like it if your country always had to choose between two extremists that always divided the country into two sides that hated each other? If you like that, then you should support Hillary Clinton. I guess, as a Brit, you really don't care about things like American unity or American domestic issues. You care more about stopping American neo-conservatism.

If that's your goal, then I guess Hillary is who you should support, from a totally foreign perspective. However, as I'm sure you can understand, for Americans, we care about more than just foreign policy.
