Iam voteing for John McCain in 2008!
Iam casting my vote for Sen. John McCain. I think he will be the best choice
to be President of the United States. He has the perfect balance of Domestic
and International experience.

Go pound salt John, I won’t vote for you. Ever. Period.
I think we can survive 4 years of Hillary Clinton. We can't survive the decades of damage McCain would do to conservatism and the republican party. At some point you've got to stop voting the lesser of two evils and do something right for a change. She needs 60 votes in the Senate to get anything done, and that is very unlikely to happen in 4 years. So she would be able to do very little.
I think his experience in Vietnam might've damaged him mentally. And I don't say that as an insult; I respect the fact that he served our country in battle. A lot of fine men served and were mentally damaged by their experiences. His bad wartime experiences, however, do raise an issue on his fitness to lead this country. Being president isn't one of those equal opportunity jobs. There's lots of fine people in this country who aren't fit for the job.

By "mentally damaged", you perhaps mean he knows how ugly war really is and won't start one for some nasty random reasons.
To call that mentally damaged is a weird world view however. I mean after all are you saying you need a president who has no idea of what war really means in order to be fitter to spread some death and destruction basing on some questionable reasons? Sometimes I think myself people who think this way should be sent to the front for a few months, that would help.
Translated into English what you look for is a war mongerer. Someone who in case of doubt rather starts a war instead of preventing one.

he wasn't a POW for 5 years or however long. John McCain is insane in the membrane and if you ever watch him for sometime you will see that he has issues.

It looks like it's going to be either him or Romney that gets the Republican nomination.

If the Republican party only consisted of Republicans who's ideology matches your own, it would be a very small and weak party.
There are many aspects of conservatism, and there is room in the party for all of them. The Republican party is a big tent and in order to maintain any measure of power, must appeal to half of the population at least.

Well, don't we have some sleazy attacks on McCain here. We've played the RINO card, the "crazy" card, and the "will damage conservatism" card.
Perhaps you didn't notice, but Bush is the guy who harmed conservatism the last eight years.
I have been a McCain supporter since 2000 and will continue to support him.
