2008 Presidential Candidates: McCain by Default.
Party: Republican
Abortion: Should be a womens right.
Affirmative Action: Affirmative Action is Racist. How does one judge who is or is not Black, what part black do you have to be to be considered black who decides?
Alternative Fuels: We definately should be getting of the oil, we should have moved away from oil since the Opec embargo in the seventies.
Capital Punishment: Should be used against; serial killers, Child rapists who kill the victims, and Traitors.
Censorship: The goverment has an obligation to protect Airwaves which belong to all citizens from things that the majority find offensive. That being said cencorship of private entities is not within the sphere of goverment responsibility.
Cuba: Continue Embargo until Cuba pays all Americans who lost property and money after the Communist stole it.
Current Administration (Bush/Cheney): Mediocre President and I feel history will be much more forgiving then the current climate. If we look at the overview of the 8 year Presidency as compared with historical precedent here is the result:
1. We have executed 2 succesfull invasions and occupations in modern history. Our casualities are low, and compared with the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan we have done a magnificent job prosecuting that war.In Iraq a Nation of 40 million with 3 groups hostile to each other we managed to hold it together and have major progress continue. The Sunnis are pacified and the Sadrists are under huge pressure to join the goverment. We have secured a huge oil reserve which is strategically important, we have established a military and political presence in the region, we have established a pro US nation instead of a unstabile dictator.
2.The economy has weathered 9/11 and the mortgage meltdown without majour economical disturbance. We have low unemployment rates and no recession.
3.No terror attacks on US soil.
Current Congress: Stagnant is the word I would use.
Education: Eliminate Public Schools. Instead subsidize private schools, and create an oversight and standard department of Education.
Electoral College: Safety valve on rule by the Mob(direct democrasy)
Flag Burning: The flag represents our Nation, Burning it gives comfort to our enemies this is characterised as a treacherous act.
Foreign Policy: Continue policy of pre-emtion, Obvioulsy diplomacy should be used first but the world should know our bark has a bite behind it.
Free Trade: We should have a trading policy that is in the best interest of the US if that happens to be free trade then so be it, if it means tarrifs then so be it.
Gay Rights: Every citizen should recieve equal rights. A homosexual should have a right to marry any one of the opposite sex.
Global Warming: I think its a natural cycle. In any case I support Alternative energy and the need to be more frugile with our resources for economical reasons.
Globalization: Impossible to stop.
Gun Control: Its a constitutional right. Nothing else to say about that.
Healthcare: Its not the goverments responsibility, and its beyond their capability to handle.
Illegal Immigration: Its illegal! What more has to be said? They broke the law they should be deported.
Marijuana Legalization:
Very important, if this would be done our criminal justice system would have a chance to operate. The war on drugs is a waste of resources and is the number one reason we have a huge jail population. Like the prohibition the war on drugs only causes more problems then it solves.
Media Bias: :Yes the media has a bias since they make money based on sponsorship(advertising).
School Prayer: Only in Unsubsidised private schools.
Separation of Church and State: Religion has no place in goverment.
Social Security: Should be scrapped, it is useless, broke and a huge drag on tax payers.
Stem Cell Research: What ever is in the best interest of the public, destroying cells is not a problem by me. We have a overpopulation problem already.
The Constitution: Greatest code of law ever invented.
United Nations:Greatest waste of prime real estate space in New York.
