Haha, kids can get 9 years free education from elementry to middle school, the "free" means they don't need to pay for the school education but in most area they have to pay for the cost of their textbooks, although the cost of textbooks is not high, in remote area there are still a lot of poor students can't afford that and they have to drop out, you know China has so many people, the gov can't afford a total free education for every student!
So general people are very angry by official's corruption, you can see from the pics they spent funds building their office but meanwhile the schools are very poor!
So i think there must be more horrible punishment against corruption.
