This is something which you did not decide. It is just the way you are. You see women and you feel an automatic attraction. You do not feel an automatic attraction when you look at men. That is not a choice. It is just the way you are.
You agree that under the right conditions, you could force yourself to stab yourself in the leg, er, I mean have sex with another man, but it would be forced.
Why is it so hard to believe that for gays, it is exactly the same way? A gay man feels an automatic attraction to other men and feels absolutely nothing for women. But under the right conditions, a gay man could abdicate his homosexuality and take up straight sex. But it would be against his nature.

I could not say for sure whether gay behavior is "hard wired" (i.e. genetic) or learned behavior. I suspect that it varies. Some people may be hard wired gay, while others are more gay through learned behavior. I think that if a person is gay, he has the choice to MAKE HIMSELF straight. I believe that I could make myself gay, if I wanted to. I could make myself a Nazi, a racist against whites, I could make myself enjoy bestiality. I can make myself believe anything I put my mind to.
