Slow your roll!

To try to understand where another is comming from, without expierencing life through THEIR eyes, is not only short-sighted its also disrespectful as well. All of lifes varied expierences, coupled with ones environmental factors then colored with heritage (eg. black slavery) will ultimatly determine what a person may think their choices are. *Please note that I did say "think" when refering to choices....All too often people accept the fate to which they were born. Imagine growing up in your average American black ghetto where the police don't come around, drugs are sold literally in front of your house and having a "city job" is considered to be success (no disrecpect to the city workers). A place where you have to run from your doorstep to the bus stop for fear of being shot or simlpy robbed and beaten. Where health problems go untreated and your wizest elders can still remember what black America used to be like only 50 years ago. eh hm Rosa Parks (need I say more). Is you neighborhood like that. Mine isn't. How could I then possibly pretend to understand. Perhapse if we acknowledge it we might actually have to do something about it. There will be no real peace till everyone accepts their role, black AND whie.

You want to be christian. Do it.

Try to empithize with your fellow man instead of judging or condeming him without a thought to his circumstances. Maybe you can pull yourself up from trecherous times but how about your weaker brother or sister? Its time for us to stop blaming one another and recognize the real truth.

As long as my brother is tired, hungry, poor or opressed then so am I.

There is no difference between you and I. Only the impression there of.
