My view on Americans? I can't generalize like that, but I can give you my view on America. I think with a culture submerged in blatant consumerism and commercialism, like North American culture, the so called "democratic" system of government depends on propaganda and constant advertisement, which leads many Americans (and Canadians) astray from their real beliefs. You can compare the Vietnam War to the Iraq war. American wars are no longer televised, reporters are not allowed without permission. Why? In Vietnam, reporters WERE allowed, and what happened then? "HELL NO I WON'T GO" that's what happened. Now you don't see any dead bodies in the Iraq war, just like you didn't in the Gulf War. I think that this example demonstrates how the American government has pulled the wool over the public eye and manipulated the media. So, if you hate Americans and think they are all bigot douchebags, you must take into consideration the constant advertisement that is present in a consumer and capitalist nation of its likes.
