My whole point is as long as there's free trade, there's no war and you counter that with an example of nationalizing industries?
The Online NewsHour: Hugo Chavez's Venezuela | Hugo Chavez -- December 21, 2006 | PBS

According to this:

Quote:
According to Venezuela's National Institute of Statistics, poverty has decreased during Chavez's presidency from 42 percent in 1999 to roughly 35-38 percent in 2005. Upon election, Chavez promptly eliminated fees for public schools and created volunteer-based schools in rural communities to widen education access. In an infamous "oil-for-services" program, he sold oil to Cuba at a favorable rate in exchange for Cuban doctors to provide health care to Venezuelans who would otherwise have none.

You mean if the US doesn't like a certain PERSON, they will overthrow him. Sometimes, yes. But all within the laws of economics.
I think in 50 years, North Korea will become what China is today. They've started SOME forms of businesses and perhaps inviting that American orchestra into the country will prove to be another ping-pong-diplomacy.
I'm not too familiar with Iranian politics or economics, but their leader seems like a complete idiot, wouldn't be surprise if their economies fall way behind in the near future.
Could very vell happen...
