A subterranean system could flood, could be damaged by earth quakes. Please note: If you would stay awake more in class, you would know that coal is a fossil fuel. Furthermore, there are no new nuclear plants being built in the U.S. and there have been a few that have been decommissioned; therefore being utilized less...not more. Please give up on the idea of a high speed subterranean rail line...it is not a good idea. (Note the correct spelling of "subterranean", please forgive me, I am a retired school teacher.)
