On the other hand, the basic idea of Christianity doesn't make sense and nobody has been able to answer the following question: Why would God send himself/son to be tortured and killed so that he can change his own rules? If he was all-powerful and all-benevolent, then he would just forgive people who deserve forgiveness naturally without any need for being worshipped like some insecure fool.
Through the acceptance of His shedding of that blood, we are declared righteous. God can't simply ignore sin because then he wouldn't be just. Christ died so that he would have a reason to.
Hebrews 9:22 "And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission."
Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."
